Upholstery Seam Impact Resistance Tester DW9960
The DW9960 Upholstery Seam Impact Resistance Tester, also known as a dynamic seam fatigue tester, is used to properly replicate the loads, pressures, and resultant stresses exerted on seat cushions and other upholstery seams during use under controlled settings. It may be used to assess the resistance of upholstery textiles to yarn slippage at the seam.
Upholstery Seam Impact Resistance Tester DW9960
DW9960 Upholstery Seam Impact Resistance Tester also named dynamic seam fatigue tester, is used to accurately simulate, under controlled conditions, the loads, forces and subsequent stresses imposed on seat cushions and other upholstery seams during their use. It can be used for measuring the resistance to yarn slippage at the seam in upholstery fabrics.
This machine complies with ASTM D4033-92 standards.
Application
Application of Upholstery Seam Impact Resistance Tester
A specimen with the seam to be tested is mounted on the specimen holder containing a piece of resilient foam pad. A fatiguing load is applied through a freely moving, rubber-faced wheel which drops onto the specimen from a constant height continuously until the set cycles have been completed. Observe whether there is any failure of the specimen.
