Oxidation Induction Time Tester DW1470H
DW1470H Oxidation Induction Time Tester with high pressure is used to measure the oxidation induction time (OIT) of plastic materials by differential scanning calorimeter (DSC) under high pressure.
Oxidation Induction Time Tester DW1470H
DW1470H Oxidation Induction Time Tester with high pressure is used to measure the oxidation induction time (OIT) of plastic materials by differential scanning calorimeter (DSC) under high pressure. When an aluminum crucible loaded with specimen and an empty reference crucible are placed on the rack of the instrument and protected in nitrogen, heat them at the rate of 20℃/min until the temperature reaches (200±0.1) ℃. Hold the temperature for 5 minutes and then quickly change the gas to oxygen. The specimen will react with oxygen to produce heat energy. The instrument measures oxidation induction time and protract a thermal curve automatically. The oxidation induction time is used as an indication of the thermal stability of the material tested.
The following are the features of the machine:
- Precise temperature measurement and control, small overshoot;
- Small-scale heating furnace with less thermal inertia to linearly heat specimens from room temperature and more precise constant-temperature control;
- Integrative design with less signal loss and less interference;
- Perfect air control system consisting of two air passages to control gas flow and automatic system to change the gas to oxygen during test;
- Large touch screen, convenient to operate, real-time display state of the instrument and test data;
- Software automation degree is high, the program setting is simple and easy to use;
- One key calibration function with standard materials;
- Automatically measures oxidation induction time and protract a thermal curve.
- Automatically draw the tangent, seek an intersection and get the time length between the intersection and the point where nitrogen is switched to oxygen.
Application
Application of Oxidation Induction Time Tester
Elevate your laboratory’s testing precision with the DW1470H High Pressure Oxidation Induction Time (OIT) Tester. Engineered for high-performance polymers and plastic materials, this specialized Differential Scanning Calorimeter (DSC) measures thermal stability under elevated pressure environments. Featuring a high-precision temperature control system (±0.1°C), the DW1470H automatically switches from nitrogen to oxygen to trigger and record precise oxidation curves. Ideal for R&D and quality control, it provides a definitive metric for material longevity and antioxidant effectiveness in industrial manufacturing.
