DW5075 Series Feather and Down Fill Power Tester
DW5075 Series Feather and Down Fill Power Tester is used for testing the fill power of feather and down. Fill the measuring cylinder with a certain amount of sample. Then slowly drop the aluminum plate until it touches the surface of the feathers/down, let the plate sink in freely for 1 minute, record the height of the feathers/down.

Application
Application of Feather and Down Filling Tester
Feather and Down Filling Tester is used to test the filling power (massic volume), is applicable to finished down and/or feathers, fit for or constituting filled manufactured articles (e.g. anoraks, quilts, etc.)
A test specimen, suitably prepared, having a specified mass is placed in a cylinder and the material is aerated by blowing for a set period. Pressure by way of a platen is then applied to the filling material at a constant speed and after a stipulated time the level of the platen is noted. The massic volume is calculated with regard to the height and the known diameter of the graduate cylinder.
