ROSS Sole Flexing Tester, also called Ross Flexing Tester, is used for determining the ability of sole material to resist crack growth when subjected to repeated bend flexing, i.e. flexing resistance.

ROSS Sole Flexing Tester is used for determining the ability of sole material to resist crack growth when subjected to repeated bend flexing. Mount the pierced strip test piece on the instrument in a way the cut is right above the middle of the rotating rod. The test piece is bent freely over the rod to a 90° angle and the cut length is measured at frequent intervals, to determine the cut growth rate and assess the flexing resistance performance.

Application
Application of Ross type flexing tester
Ross type flexing tester is used for flexing test at a 90°angle of rubber products, sole materials, PU, etc. by subjecting specifically prepared specimens to repeated bend flexing. The damage and cracking condition is then observed.
Ross type flexing tester complies with ASTM D1052, ISO 5423, ISO 4643, SATRA TM60, etc.
