ICI Pilling and Snagging Tester, also named ICI Pilling Box or Pilling Machine which is used to determine the surface fuzzes and pilling properties of both woven and knitted materials.
ICI Pilling and Snagging Tester YG511 Series
ICI Pilling And Snagging Tester can be used to test both woven and knitted materials. It complies in full with the requirements of EN ISO 12945-1 ‘Textiles – Determination of fabric propensity to surface fuzzing and to pilling – Part 1: Pilling Box Method.’ This standard supersedes BS 5811, which is now withdrawn. In addition to Orbitor fulfil the requirements of GB/T4802.3－1997.
Follows are features of the pilling tester:
- Electronic counter can record accumulated number of test cycles automatically, also easy to reset the counter;
- Simplified designing, more convenient to operate, and easy to maintain;
- Synchronous speed motor drives the test boxes, ensuring constant speed of rotation.
Application
Application of ICI Pilling and Snagging Tester
ICI pilling tester is mainly used for pilling of shuttle and knitted fabrics caused by friction without pressure. when sample pasted on the rubber hose, prevent to the test cabinet and make test box rotates at a certain speed, is the sample and the lining and mutual free friction, after a specified time, remove the specimen, contrast diagram evaluation sample card friction resistance level.
The unit consists of frame, drive system, pilling boxes, electronic control cabinet, and control panel.(see figure 1).
The Pilling boxes are secured in box rack, two ends of box rack are connected to frame and electronic control cabinet respectively. The Frame and control cabinet are joined as a whole.
