The DW5325 Bending Beam Rheometer is a tool used in low-temperature settings to test asphalt binders’ flexural creep stiffness using the SHRP technique.

Bending Beam Rheometer DW5320A Description

DW5325 Bending Beam Rheometer is a device for testing the flexural creep stiffness of asphalt binders in low temperature environments according to SHRP method.

This instrument is made as per T 0627 asphalt bending creep stiffness test (bending beam rheometer method) in the industry standard JTG E20 “Test Code for Asphalt and Asphalt Mixtures in Highway Engineering” of the People’s Republic of China. SH/T 0775 Determination of Bending Creep Stiffness of Asphalt (BBR Method); And refer to the American Association of State Highway Transportation Administrators (AASHTO T313), AASHTO TP112, and the American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM D6648); Designed and manufactured according to European standards such as EN 14771, it is suitable for measuring the low-temperature bending creep stiffness S (t) and creep slope m value of asphalt, and can be used to evaluate the low-temperature fracture characteristics of asphalt binders. This instrument is suitable for original asphalt, aged asphalt after pressure aging, and aged asphalt after thin film oven (or rotary thin film oven)

Follows are features of the machine:

  • The instrument control unit adopts an industrial tablet computer, which displays real-time
  • Adopting PELTIE technology and refrigeration machine composite mode, the cooling speed is fast, and it can drop from room temperature to -18 ℃ in 40 minutes, with high temperature control accuracy.
  • Adopting a linear differential displacement sensor (LVDT) with a standard calibration module, the displacement parameters can be calibrated, accurate, and highly accurate.
  • We use a high-precision, low-noise, and split refrigeration unit, and connect it to the main unit with a hose to prevent its vibration from affecting the test results.
  • Adopting high-precision load sensors and equipped with standard pressure calibration devices, the pressure can be calibrated accurately and reliably.
  • The host liquid bath is equipped with a magnetic stirrer with adjustable speed, ensuring accurate and uniform liquid bath temperature.
  • The air source pressure, pre pressure, load pressure, and air bearing pressure can all be visually displayed digitally in the operating software for easy viewing.
  • Designed with a USB communication port, it can export instrument detection data.
  • It has functions such as instrument overload protection and fault warning. In case of abnormalities, the buzzer will sound an alarm and the interface fault code will be displayed simultaneously.
  • The test time can be set for easy verification of deformation after 240 seconds (default 240 seconds).
  • The time required for calculating the results can be set by software (default 8s, 15s, 30s, 60s, 120s, 240s).
  • The load loading shaft adopts air bearings that have undergone two-stage high-precision air filtration, with no damping during loading and high accuracy
