Direct Shear Test Apparatus is used to determine the shear resistance and the pullout resistance of a geosynthetic against soil, a geosynthetic against another geosynthetic, Lay the sample flat on the rigid horizontal base in the lower part of the shearing box, and the front end clamps in front of the shear zone. The sample is glued together with the base. After bonding, the sample should be flat, without folding and folding. There is no relative slip between the sample and the base in the test.

Application of Direct Shear Test Apparatus
