NBS abrasion tester is suitable to determine the abrasion resistance of rubber products and sole materials. The abrasion resistance is determined by calculating the percentage of numbers of revolutions required to abrade 2.5mm thickness of the test specimens and the standard reference compounds against rotating abrasive papers under specified contact pressure and area, where NBS abrasion differs from DIN and AKRON abrasion.
