DW5774 Rubber Compression Set is the rubber static compression test. A standard test specimen is taken and clamped between the flat plates of this apparatus. It is compressed to a specified ratio by turning the screws, and then placed in an oven at a specified temperature. After a specified time, it is taken out, and the test specimen is removed and allowed to cool for 30 minutes. Its thickness is then measured, and the value is substituted into the formula to calculate the compression set.
